Alzheimer`s Day

 
In late 2008, over 30 million people worldwide suffering from Alzheimer's disease, according to a monitoring provided by the World Health Organization. For 2009 the estimated number of people affected by the disease rose to 34 million.

September 21 is called the International Alzheimer's Day, and annual worldwide conference is held at this time through which rings alarm over the disease  acts on the human psyche at conferences held all stakeholders wish to raise in support of this category of population and growth in demand for specialized medical consultations.

 

 

Besides Alzheimer's issues and the role of the legislature this occasion to announce the launch of a competition entitled "Alzheimer Decalogue. The contest invites young people worldwide to make short films in agreement with the 10 common signs in diagnosing Alzheimer's disease. The winning films will be part of a campaign to raise awareness of issues that will develop Alzheimer in 2010.

 

About Alzheimer's

 

Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative disease affecting the brain areas that control memory, intelligence, and the capacity of law, language and behavior. This disease is most common form of mental decline or dementia in older people. Alzheimer’s disease is a condition more serious than mild memory loss that occurs in older people. This disease is associated with behavioral disorders, personality, loss of ability to think properly and ability to perform daily activities. People close family members usually notice changes at first, although these changes can be seized and the sick.

 

Examples include memory loss caused by Alzheimer's disease include forgetting:

- An experience entirely

- Interpretation time or driving car
